Do you know the impact of your garments? Because of the fashion vast overproduction, the use of synthetic fibers and the agriculture pollution of some of its materials, the fashion industry is the third most polluting industry in the world! It is responsible for 10% of the carbon footprint and the second greatest polluter of fresh water.
At Jordson we want you to buy less but buy better and through our t-shirts, we want you to be part of the change we see in our future.
As a sustainable brand, there are several issues we advocate for:
Organic Cotton
Organic Cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a lower impact on the environment as organic production maintains soil fertility, reduces the use of fertilizers, toxics and pesticides. It also produces around 46% less CO2 compared to conventional cotton and need far less water to grow.
Natural Dyes
Instead of using plastisol we use water based ink. The first option not only is made from plastic but also requires a variety of chemicals during the process of printing. Water based ink uses water as a solvent base to carry the pigment so it is friendly with the environment, requires almost no chemicals and looks and feels great on the shirts!
